Stock Number: 38 Maker: David Edwards Year: 2004 Condition: new Price: $2500 Currency: US Dollars Terms: Custom case is separate $180 Number: #8 Top: sitka spruce Back: east indian rosewood Sides: east indian rosewood Finish: 'Hardened' French Polish Scale Length: 630 mm Nut Width: 1 15/16" Origin: Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Availability: Reserved Description: This guitar is made in the style of 19th century guitar maker Louis Panormo. This guitar is extremely easy to play due to a shorter scale (string) length and a slightly more narrow fingerboard width at the nut. Also, the action is set low. This instrument is strung with natural gut trebles which adds a sweeter tone than nylon or carbon fiber strings. The rosette is especially striking made of albalone 'diamonds and moons'. The sound is loud and clear and yet has that characteristic 19th century guitar sound. It is a more delicate sound than the modern classical guitar. Tuners: Schaller Neckwood: mahogony Fingerboard: ebony Model: Panormo
